A stylish experience
Spotting giraffes in the heart of Amsterdam during lunch? At ARTIS you can. The oldest zoo in the Netherlands is known for its beautiful surroundings and rich history. There are many restaurants from which you can enjoy the various animals found in ARTIS Park. One of these restaurants is De Waterkant at ARTIS. To enhance the experience of this restaurant, Sanimood renovated the restroom facilities. By using calm colors and sustainable materials, we created a stylish experience. Because Sanimood also works with smooth walls and floors in this project, ARTIS now saves as much as 30% on cleaning costs.
Eye for detail
Our spatial designers thought carefully about how to translate the atmosphere of the restaurant into the restrooms. The green walls in the restrooms match the green moss wall in the restaurant and the shades found in the counter. There is also a concrete column here that has the same finish as the robust wall of the washrooms. Sustainability and efficient water use are also incredibly important aspects at ARTIS. Therefore, foils with interesting facts are attached above the sinks to encourage water conservation. This way, we are not only saving cleaning products, but also drinking water!
Sustainable cooperation
The partnership between Sanimood and ARTIS goes beyond the renovation of the washrooms. To strengthen our partnership, Sanimood has adopted the pygmy mongoose. In doing so, we support ARTIS in taking the park experience to new heights. Thanks to this joint effort, zoo visitors can enjoy a beautiful and pleasant sanitary experience that perfectly complements the green, robust habitat of these animals.
