The enchantment of the Efteling, even in the washrooms
As the largest theme park in the Netherlands, the Efteling manages to win a place in the hearts of its visitors every day. Because when you think of experience, you think of the Efteling. In this enchanted world, you can experience the most wonderful attractions and fairy tales every day. That experience is now reflected in even more toilets.
At Droomvlucht, the enchantment of the forests comes to life by adding bright leaves to the wall coverings and airbrushing the towel dispensers with cheerful silhouettes of fairies. The washrooms of the Fabula attraction were also designed to completely match the vibrancy of this location. In addition to these attractions, Sanimood was also allowed to create a total experience for the sanitary areas of 't Gemack and Fata Morgana. All designs are harmoniously matched with the surroundings so that visitors can enjoy the unique atmosphere of the park even in the toilet.
Teamwork makes the dream work
To realize this experience, we worked with our partner CWS and the Efteling's design department, among others. We checked out the existing restrooms and looked at how we could improve them with the same love for detail that the Efteling has. After this, we created a custom design for each attraction that completely fits the environment. Together with the technical department, we attached our durable panels.
Our partner CWS provided icing on the cake with its towel dispensers, soap dispensers and toilet paper holders. Where necessary, we personalized these products so that they completely matched the space. Even the mirrors and lamps in the washrooms are completely in the theme of the attraction.
Everything lasts long and happy
The walls of the restrooms are not only attractive, but also durable, scratch-resistant and quick to clean. For example, they can take a beating and contain antibacterial coating so they are hygienic and last extra long. The smooth surface also makes walls clean in no time. This allows housekeepers to work more efficiently and use as much as 30% less cleaning products.
And not only were the wall coverings carefully considered, but also the other furnishings. For example, Sanimood used only LED lighting in these toilet groups, and closed toilet stalls were also installed here to reduce noise pollution. The built-in cisterns of the toilets are water-saving and the urinals are water-free. All this makes it possible for Efteling to offer a pleasant and sustainable environment to its visitors. So they can enjoy the most beautiful amusement park in the Netherlands for a long and happy time to come.
