Burgers' Zoo Entrance

The wilderness expands

After the positive response to the restrooms we renovated in the Bush restaurant, Burgers' Zoo gave us the opportunity to tackle the entrance as well. This new project offered a great opportunity to translate the wilderness into the washrooms here as well. As a result, visitors are immersed in nature from their first step into the park. In addition to adding to the experience, this renovation also ensures that cleaning costs are saved by as much as 30%.

Shades and textures

For the restrooms at the entrance, we chose a design that connects to the natural environment of the park. The warm earthy tones give the rooms a calming feeling, while the pattern of dried clay symbolizes the robust parts of nature. The walls are further enriched with the familiar silhouettes representing the different ecosystems of Burgers' Zoo, such as the safari, the rainforest and the ocean. In the silhouettes you will find different visuals of the animals living in these ecosystems: from imposing giraffes to colorful coral fish. These elements provide visitors with an immediate taste of what they can see in the park.

Durable details

In addition to creating an attractive space, sustainability was paramount. We ensured that the new restrooms are not only visually appealing, but also durable and low-maintenance. For example, water-saving faucets and cisterns were installed, significantly reducing water consumption. LED lighting contributes to energy efficiency, and the smooth, groutless walls make the rooms clean in no time. This not only keeps them hygienic, but also matches Burgers' Zoo's sustainable ambitions to treat nature responsibly.
